Point fitting systems

Point fixed glass constructions permit free-expanding, self-supporting glazings, seaming weightless and combining the aesthetic aspect with a transparent view.

With regard of construction tolerances it is of crucial importance for the general impression of a glazed point fixed surface, that the silicon joints, the flush exterior surface of the glass panes and the mounting friendliness are given.

Beside suitable glass elements and connectors to the supporting structure, it is necessary to use the adequate point fittings. gebo has developed glass point fittings, enabling to introduce all forces affecting the glass, in a controlled and stress-free manner. Among other developments, gebo is well-known as developer and manufacturer of the SGG Multipoint® fitting system.

The gebo fitting AK A 60 received in 1999, as one of the first fittings in Germany, in context with SGG Rooflite® the general permission for construction (AbZ). In 2004 the gebo fitting AK C 46/70 received in context with SGG Litefloor® the general permission for construction (AbZ).

Due to the variety of implementations, gebo offers multiple types of point fittings to match glass type and pane sizes. The selection depends on the specific conditions and requirements of the project. In order to make the correct choice we conciliate to contact gebo at an early stage of the project. Beside the wide range of standard fixings, special designs with other geometries and functions are available on request.

For external and interior architecture, gebo offers a wide selection of point fittings for structural glass constructions in facades, roofs, canopies etc.

The following standard finishes are available: fine turned surface, bead-blasted surface or polished surface.

High-graded steel materials are used only. gebo uses exclusively high-graded steel in accordance with the German general permission for construction (AbZ)  Z-30.3-6. The use of stainless steel grade 316 L  is preferred, since this material is more resistant and more suitable against rust and other environmental influences.

Since 1992 gebo fittings have successfully been implemented on multiple projects. More than 1000 references, as overhead glazing or facade glazing, on external or internal architecture, as monolithic or double glazing, proof a successful and carefree implementation of gebo fittings
